want/need/love this clutch. am totally getting it when friends and family sale starts on thurs. possibly in every color, since it's become apparent lately that i have NOTHING to bring with me to weddings.

wedding season 2009 has drawn to a close. yay 2009 weddings!
i guess it hasn't quite drawn to a close b/c we're hosting another bridal/wedding shower at our house in 3 weeks. eeks!

one of my favorite things to do is to customize already prepared food into the way i like it. for instance, today at the work cafeteria they had clam chowder. feeling the urge, i got some... and then sadly realized it had no bacon in it, which is always the best part of clam chowder. so, i walked over to the salad bar and added a spoonful of bacon bits, and there you go! and then at my table, added 1/2 ts of pepper... and now it's super tasty.
one of my favorite places to customize food is at rubios. this is my routine:
- order 1 fish taco kids meal with mexican rice - for the soda, fill it up with 2/3 coke + 1/3 diet coke (so it's not TOO sugary, but still tastes like regular coke), and squeeze 3 lime wedges into it (and then drop them in) and mix it up. bada bing, semi-diet lime coke! - once i get the rice, scoop spoonfuls of the onion and cilantro mixture + a little bit of the hot salsa into it... and it's soooo much tastier.

i've been eating kind of crappy this week, b/c i've been trying to earn more hotel points by ordering lots of room service. so i decided that today for lunch i would try to eat healthier and get a salad. my salad looked like this:
- 5 leaves of spinach - 5 leaves of "mixed greens" aka, weeds - a scoop of mushrooms - a scoop of broccoli - eggs - a LOT of tofu - tuna - pasta - cheese
i realized once i was eating it that was probably the most protein-filled salad possible without actually having any meat in it. and, i left most of the mixed greens in the bowl (i only got them b/c they were mixed in with the spinach). and the mushrooms. so really, i just had broccoli and 5 leaves of spinach.
i also got a side of fries and a rice krispy treat. :)
so much for healthy eating!
